A service tool for DJI gimbals: recalibrate, fix calibration errors, and repair gimbal IMU data. Done in-house, confirmed on screen.
This tool fixes the gimbal calibration error — and only that. Not camera errors. Not IMU errors (error 40021 is a separate repair, Mini 3 / Mini 3 Pro only).
The question that decides it: which part did you replace?
- Camera, lens module, or the COMPLETE gimbal — on DJI drones the camera is mounted on the gimbal, so replacing the whole gimbal replaces the camera too. Expect camera not calibrated (10016) or a lens calibration file error (1C000317). Calibration does not clear those. If you replaced the camera sensor, some of those errors cannot be fixed by calibration at all.
- Gimbal motors only — yes, this is exactly the case. Factory gimbal calibration, and on supported models it clears the DJI app's calibration error.
- Error 40021 (gimbal IMU data) — yes, on Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro, as a separate repair. It is a different error from the calibration one, even though both come from the gimbal.
- Vision sensors and ToF — not covered.
- Crash damage — if the gimbal shakes, oscillates or goes limp, that is hardware. (A gimbal sitting tilted is not necessarily faulty — an uncalibrated gimbal sits tilted. That is what calibration fixes.)
- It does not clear the drone's errors in general, and it does not wipe the alert history.
Calibration initialises a working gimbal — it does not repair a broken one. If the gimbal is faulty (dead motor, damaged ribbon, failing hall sensor), the calibration will fail. No software can change that. Fix the hardware first.
Before you pay: make sure your gimbal is working — note that a tilted gimbal can simply be an uncalibrated one, not a fault. Confirm the errors you see are gimbal errors only — not sensor, IMU or camera errors. No refunds.
